Thiruvananthapuram: Revenue Minister K Rajan has said that a special housing construction policy is essential for Kerala in the context of its natural experiences. He was inaugurating the 54th anniversary celebrations of the Kerala Housing Construction Board and the Rent Arrears Settlement Court. There have been many incidents of loss of life and homes in natural disasters since 2016. Construction should be allowed that is appropriate for each region and climate. The Housing Construction Board should also examine such matters when planning construction activities. The board’s activities are very popular today. The minister said that employees should strive to collect dues in addition to implementing good projects.
He suggested that the board should also take the initiative to build age-friendly homes.The generation that is increasingly moving their parents to other countries in their old age is investing in them. Taking advantage of this, a large-scale business is also being conducted in this field. For those who are destined to live alone in their old age, homes should be built where they can forget everything and live happily and happily.Minister K Rajan also said that the Housing Construction Board should become a mechanism to end ‘price gouging’ and trade in this sector.He said that most of the approvals for the Kochi Eco City project, the Housing Development Board’s largest ever project, have been received and that interventions are being made for the few remaining approvals, and that the construction of the project is scheduled to be inaugurated in May 2025.
